Organisers of the new Anthony Axford North West Cricket League are on the lookout for clubs to join in 2024.

The League, which was formed in 2022 by the merger of the Bolton League and the Ribblesdale League, are looking for suitable clubs to expand the numbers.

It currently consists of 23 senior clubs, who will be divided into two divisions (the Premiership and the Championship) from next season, with promotion and relegation of two up, two down.

The League also has a Conference - 31 teams for mainly second teams with some first XIs that do not have a team in the Premier League.

There is also a Development Division for third teams that plays mainly on Sundays.

The NWCL runs an extensive Junior League as well as an Inter League Teams at all levels.

The League runs several cup competitions, as well, including a senior Twenty20 Cup and a Twenty20 Cup for third teams.

The League has a comprehensive website that contains all the information, rules etc., at https://nwcl.co.uk/

Organisers are looking to be progressive and the League has a desire to become a Premier League over the coming seasons.
