ONE-in-five North West workers will pull a “sickie” this summer as England attempt to lift the World Cup in South Africa, according to a survey by Continental Tyres.
Researchers have found that employees in the region will “skive” an average of 2.5 days during the month-long tournament, a day less than the UK national average of 3.5 days.
