Drivers in and around Bury will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that seven closures are due to start over the next two weeks.

Here are a list of the details: 

• M60, from 8pm April 5 to 5am April 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J20 to J18 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

• M66, from 9pm April 8 to 5am April 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 both directions, junction 4 to junction 3 - lane closure for horticulture (cutting and planting).

• M60, from 9pm April 9 to 5am April 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound, junction 3 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for barriers - permanent.

• M60, from 9pm April 11 to 6am April 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions J18 to J16 - lane closure for drainage.

• M60, from 8pm April 14 to 5am April 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J20 to J18 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

• M60, from 9pm April 15 to 5am April 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 both directions lane closures and slip closures with Simister Island Roundabout carriageway closure on the North side of roundabout.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
