Police are searching for a youth after an assault at a tram stop yesterday, March 21. 

The assault took place at around 4.50pm on Thursday at Radcliffe Metrolink Station. 

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are now looking for a young man described as being between 16 and 18 years old, of a Middle Eastern appearance and as having dark curly medium length hair. 

It is believed he regularly uses the Bury tram line. Officers are now urging anyone with information to get in contact.

A spokesperson from GMP Bury South said: "Radcliffe Neighbourhood Officers are appealing for information following reports of an assault yesterday (21 March 2024) at approximately 4.50pm, at Radcliffe Metrolink Station.

"The suspect is described as having dark curly medium length hair, aged between 16 and 18, and of a Middle Eastern appearance. It is believed he frequents the Bury Tram Line.

"Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact GMP on 101, quoting Log 2633-21032024. Independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online or via 0800 555 111."
