Two cannabis farms have been found and two men have been arrested after police raids at two borough addresses.

Officers searched an address on Uplands Avenue in Radcliffe before a cannabis farm was discovered and a man was arrested. 

And a larger cannabis farm was found at a property on Ennerdale Drive in Unsworth, where a man was also arrested.

The cannabis plants were seized and police investigations are ongoing.

In an announcement today, Thursday, a police spokesperson said: “As a result of intelligence-led policing, officers from Whitefield and Radcliffe neighbourhood policing teams conducted a day of action and executed two simultaneous warrants.

“They were supported by Bury's divisional tasking team and the district intelligence unit.

“Radcliffe neighbourhood police officers entered an address on Uplands Avenue, Radcliffe, and located a cannabis farm. A male was arrested and is in custody.

“Whitefield neighbourhood officers entered an address on Ennerdale Drive, Unsworth, and located an even larger cannabis farm. A male was arrested and is in custody.

“Throughout both addresses multiple rooms of fully grown cannabis plants were seized during the searches.

“Further offences were identified, and the investigations are ongoing.
