A stunning Rolls Royce is set to go under the hammer after it was seized by police.

The luxury supercar worth just under £130,000 was taken off the roads by officers last month as the driver was found not have insurance.

A spokesman for GMP Traffic said: "The alleged owner has since been unable to prove legitimate ownership, so this £129K car will be auctioned off for a bargain price soon."

Seized cars are either scrapped or sold at auction if correct and legitimate proof of ownership is not provided within 14 days of the time of the issue of the seizure notice.

The vehicle will be disposed of via the government approved vehicle disposal scheme.

Money raised from police auctions goes back into the community to support local causes and charities.
