A man has been charged after drugs were found in Bury.

The drugs were discovered by police on Walmersley Road yesterday, Wednesday. 

Mbatijua Murise, 20, of Rishton Lane, Bolton, has now been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court today, Thursday.

Sergeant James Donnelly of Greater Manchester Police's Operation Revoke Team in Bury, said: "Operation Revoke is cracking down on crime across Bury, through robust and proactive policing.

“Among the work we do is carry out disruption activities, which is demonstrated in this case.

"I hope this quick arrest and charge shows the seriousness with which we treat reports of crime within the community.
