Police have searched two parks in Bury today, Friday, as officers search for weapons.
Officers attended Hoyles Park and Clarence Park, searching bushes and other hiding places for offensive weapons, which may be concealed.

No weapons were found following the search.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Bury said: “Moorside and Redvales neighbourhood team attended Hoyles Park and Clarence Park on Friday, March 24 to conduct a weapons sweep in bushes and other potential hiding places.
“Officers were looking for hidden offensive weapons and luckily on this occasion no weapons were found with our presence warmly received from users to the parks.
“GMP have a zero tolerance to knife crime and will continue to work alongside other partner agencies to identify any potential risks to the public.”
