An afternoon tea is being held at a park in Bury this weekend in honour of International Women's Day.
Bury residents are being encouraged to come together on Sunday, March 5, at Bury Croquet Club at Whitehead Park to "celebrate women's achievements".
The awareness day, which officially lands on Wednesday, March 8, will be celebrated from 1pm to 2pm at the Ainsworth Road park.
Bury West councillors will be joining the celebration, including Cllr Shahbaz Arif, who wants to encourage as many people to come along as possible.

He said: “International Women's Day aims to get the world talking about equity, diversity and inclusion.
“This event is for local people to come together and celebrate the achievements of women and reflect on gender equality"

Chairman of the croquet club, Roy Spencer, said: “Join us for this extraordinary event together we can all celebrate women's achievements.
“We can raise awareness about discrimination and collectively embrace equality.”
