WORK on the new Morrison's superstore in Whitefield is forcing the temporary closure of Stanley Road to traffic between Bury New Road and Mather Avenue.
The restrictions will come into force on Sunday and will continue for a month.
The measures are being taken by Bury Council because a crane is being positioned in Stanley Road to lift reinforced concrete stairs onto the tore site.
Morrrison's is scheduled to open its doors in September with the creation of 350 new jobs.
The superstore will provide 455 car parking spaces.
