The local elections take place today
THE local elections take place today — and you can keep right up to date with the results with the Bury Times.
Seventeen seats are up for grabs, one in each of the 51 Bury Council wards.
Polls close across the borough at 10pm and the results will be announced tonight.
Our reporters will be at the count at Castle Leisure Centre in Bolton Street, Bury, tonight and will be bringing you live updates here.
There will be further updates here tomorrow morning and full coverage in next week's Bury Times.
It will include reaction from the local group leaders of political parties and winning candidates, plus an insight into the political picture across Bury, Greater Manchester and the country.
