A BURY food company has tasted success in its quest to raise money for the Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour charity.

For thanks to a "Super June" meat pack promotion, Best in Bury Foods has generated £1,000 for the "Super Josh'" charity.

The money was handed over to Joshua's mother, Dawn Fidler, by company managing director Steven Hilton.

During the month of June, the firm made a donation to the charity for every "Super June" food pack sold.

The company, established by Mr Hilton on Bury Market in 1991, sells fresh fish, shellfish, poultry, game and eggs.

Dawn said: "I was totally gobsmacked when I was presented with £1,000. A massive thank you to Steven and his team and to all their customers who bought the meat packs and helped raise so much for Josh's charity."
