FIREFIGHTERS had to put out a large blaze after a pile of fly-tipped clothing was set alight by the side of a canal last night.
One fire engine attended the incident behind the Cocklestorm Fencing Company, in Bury Road, Radcliffe, at around 3am and spent around 35 minutes extinguishing the blaze.
Fire crews believe it was started deliberately.
