LANCASHIRE'S "top brass" will come to Bury Town Hall for a night of war music.
On November 14, the Elizabethan Suite will play host to the elite Blackburn and Darwen Brass Band Championship Section, who will play a 1914 to 2014 remembrance concert, beginning at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £14 and include a hot buffet and coffee. The proceeds will be split between Bury Hospice and Rossendale Hospice.
Also, the new Grace's Place children's hospice in Radcliffe will be the beneficiary of a New Year's Eve cabaret dance at the Elizabethan Suite on December 31. Topping the bill is Tameka Jackson with the American Motown Show while Jon Heslop's Carbs opens the show. Tickets cost £35 inclusive of a gala buffet.
