FOOTBALL-mad fundraisers are to take part in a gruelling 12-hour soccer session to help raise money for a Bury girl suffering a serious life-threatening condition.

Little Mila Sherring is just eight months old. She was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) in March and faces many challenges ahead.

TSC causes tumours to form on vital organs like the brain, kidneys, heart, lungs, eyes and skin.

There is no cure but new research is helping to find better treatments and her family need to raise around £40,000 for the treatment she requires.

Now, staff at the JGM Agency are organising a “Matches for Mila” event to take place on Sunday (July 27).

Employees from the Rawtenstall firm will take part in a marathon football event at Play Football at Bury College’s Millennium Centre.

Ian Graham, the firm’s creative director, said: “We’re proud to be involved in the fundraising.

“The JGM team will be playing 12 football matches in 12 hours, against teams made up of our willing clients and suppliers.

“Our team isn’t exactly in peak physical condition, so who knows what will happen.”
